Hi, I'm Joel Louis founder of Startup Dad Headquarters (HQ) a #1 ranked Business, Kids & Family, and Education podcast in iTunes New & Noteworthy. We are on a mission to help extraordinary Fathers figure out how to pursue their dreams of entrepreneurship in order to find freedom and leave a legacy behind.

At Startup Dad HQ we are on a mission to help incredible Fathers of today who are | want to be fully engaged in every aspect of their child(ren) life and at the same time pursue their dreams of building a business that will not only afford them the lifestyle they want for their family but also leave a MARK on this world and a LEGACY behind.

Our vision at Startup Dad HQ is to inspire and enable one small business launch every single day by fathers all over the world.

On Father's Day 2014 I launched Startup Dad HQ, a business interview show | podcast, focused on the intersection between The Evolution of Dads and Entrepreneurship. Each interview takes us through the journey, of our guest. They share their failures, bumps and bruises and their rise to the top as they navigated through the complexities of Fatherhood, Entrepreneurship and Life. Startup Dad HQ also features webinars and live interactive workshops with content experts in all areas of Fatherhood and Entrepreneurship.

"Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least."

-Wolfgang von Goethe

What matters most to me and everything that I do is for my family. I am married to a beautiful NICU nurse and we have three beautiful daughters under the age of 8. I know in no time they will be off to college so my time with them, right now!, means more than anything. Who am I? Well, I like to think of myself as a Fortune 100 Corporate Dad gone ROGUE! After 14+ years as a highly successful manager at Intel Corporation I decided, enough was enough, it was time to stop working on someone else's dream and start working on my own. It took me almost a year and a half of self exploration and lots of sleepless nights to pinpoint my true passions but when the dust settled it was clear! I wanted to build a platform that focused on the extraordinary Fathers of today who are fully engaged in every aspect of their children lives and have also managed to purse their dreams of entrepreneurship in order to leave a legacy behind.

3 Ways Entrepreneur Parents Can Reclaim 2 Hours, Daily!

Entrepreneur Dad, Survey, Time Management, Steven Covey
1. Two Words: Compostable Plates – Savings: 40 min! 2. Shut Off _____(insert any mobile device) – Savings: 90 min! 3. Wake up Before They Do – Savings: Priceless!   Recently I conducted what is called a “Deep Dive Survey.” It’s the first of 4 types of survey’s recommend by Ryan Levesque's, a fellow StartupDad who I interviewed in Episode 34, in his book ASK. If I Didn't Have Kids, I Would Start My Own Business

Today, I cheated! My wife typically works two day’s week from 7am - 7pm and on those day’s I take care of our 3 girls with no assistance. But today, I had to cheat, I asked the nanny to come in to watch the girls for a few hours so that I could focus on writing this post and work on the final touches on the brand new website.
